I always like to support the local business but was shocked as it was extremely overpriced for two beverages.This resort is all-inclusive. My only caution is to not buy a beverage at the beach area. We stopped along the way for pictures and had a great time with conversation and laughs.
What a couple of characters! They were fun but also kept a close eye on our safety. The most fun we had was on the Bike Ride we took to the Marina with Carlos and Ivan. Even when we were walking the property he would stop us to chat and check to see if we needed anything. He made sure we had a place to lay by the pool. By the Preferred Pool, we had Antonio assist. After all our issues he made a point of checking with us daily to assure we were happy and had no other concerns that needed to be addressed. Her associate, Pablo, was also an amazing staff member. Ireri was very helpful in trying to get it fixed but when it was not done she had already secured us a different room in another building.
One major issue we had was a plumbing problem with our room. We booked a Preferred Club Suite and were assisted with any requests by the staff in the Preferred Lounge. The service was a little slow but we understand the issue with getting workers as it is happening in the U.S. The presentation, flavor and temperature of the dishes were perfect. Portofino, on the other hand, was delicious. The food was far from hot and very bland. Himatsu was quite disappointing as the presentation did not do justice to its description. We did eat at two of the specialty restaurants. There are only a few things I can commend the resort for: 1) Outstanding and attentive staff 2) Room comfort and quality 3) The cleanliness of the property. We walked from end to end in under 20 minutes. The virtual tour of the property gave the appearance of being a sprawling landscape and that too was not true. We had anticipated finding the resort to look exactly as we had seen on the website only to find the website deceiving (no tennis court, no batting cage, no basketball and the pickleball courts were on hard cement). Also, if you play Lukas in pong, I promise he’s better than what he portrays! He’s a pong shark and I had a blast playing against him! Ivan and Lukas made our trip so much fun and they’re a big reason why we loved our stay! If you are a trash talker, be prepared, because Ivan and Lukas are witty, so bring your A game. We stayed for 5 days and we played volleyball, poker, archery, cornhole, ping pong, and had a great time. They make sure to remember guests names and not once did they forget. Ivan and Lukas are amazing and had us laughing the whole time. Restaurant service was excellent and efficient. While in the pool, the bartender noticed my drink was almost gone, and had one made and signaled over to me that he had a new drink for me. From restaurants, to bars, to room service, to events and to entertainment, this staff goes above and beyond. They work so hard to make sure guests are happy.
The staff overall is what makes this resort amazing.
